Came across this podcast from Artnet and realised that Tarot with AI is something else than the original tarot process. A tarot reading or a card deck is a process relying on visual symbolism, interpretation, intention, and deliberate choices. A tarot reading comes with a context that include the person being read, current situation, society, values and conflicts and more there to. Through the process it is possible to find patterns and challenge limited thinking, not simplifying thinking or making it fast. The process leaves the reading open to come to different answers. Tarot cards is used in art and by artist as the symbolism is rich and inherent in most cultures and still come with restrictions. Artists using tarot are not necessary practicing divination or magic. Salvador Dalí used tarot as a framework using it inserting art history, psychology, culture, his identity and his private world.
