What do we want to do with all “the time freed up”? And no-one need to go to school any longer. And we have to change the question or the answer to “what do you do for a living”? What would it look like? Engaging in hobbies without earning? Does the scenario include automating automatically wealth distribution, in what way?
Humans have a fundamental psychological drive for meaning and purpose. Having no job is also an existential threat to identity. A day has no structure and no natural social interaction. A mind needs to be occupied. And we all want to contribute.
Some say it will go fast.
